Iran Hoax – a Hoax for the moment:
There's been a lot of delusional agitation to promote a US-Israeli war against Iran these days, right from those whose elevator doesn't stop at the top floor: Kristol: ‘We Could Be In A Military Confrontation With Iran Much Sooner Than People Expect’.
This new wave has been correctly identified in numerous articles such as this: Target Iran - Here We Go Again.
The new flavor added to the same old stuff is that after losing the US-goaded war of aggression against Hizballah the IDF has reduced to a mere hoax threat as indicated by a neat propaganda campaign given in the "news" stories here:
Israel feels US will not attack Iran
Israel may 'go it alone' against Iran
Halutz names officer to prepare for possible war with Iran
Such a campaign has been launched because the truth, that the US has been "helping" Iran all the time is about to break as shown e.g. by an article Study calls Iran 'biggest beneficiary' of US war on terror.
On the other hand, one cannot believe for a second that Iran would be under immediate threat, the main reason for this being that if anything, the status of the US troops in Iraq resembles that of "hostages", which is only one of the difficulties the US is facing (more detailed views on this e.g. in Experts Speak: No Good Military Options in Iran).
The attack against Iran is of course to be expected, if the Bush "Government" stands long enough to attempt this, but from a military point of view a more reasonable time table than "any moment" is given by another ZioNazi lunatic in AEI Fellow After Meeting With Bush: President May Take Military Action Against Iran In 12-18 Months. In other words, as much as the NeoCons would love to assault Iran, they just don't have resources to do it and the Israeli preparations for this, indicated in Israel Prepares for the Next War will most likely belong to another war alltogether.
